2018 Utah State Aggies Football Schedule Analysis
– The non-conference schedule starts out hard, and gets progressively easier going to Michigan State to kick things off, New Mexico State comes to Logan to follow, and then comes the tune-up against Tennessee Tech. The final date outside of the Mountain West doesn’t come until early October against BYU on the road.
– The Mountain West slate starts out with Air Force at home, and then comes the week off to gear up for the final two months. They don’t leave the state of Utah from September 8th until October 20th, getting UNLV at home from the West division. In a huge, huge break, there’s no San Diego State or Fresno State from the other division, playing Hawaii on the road and hosting San Jose State, along with the Rebels.
– In the Mountain play, the big date with Boise State doesn’t come until the end, and that’s on the road. Worse yet, it’s coming after a home trip to Colorado State, and three of the four games in November are on the road. Throw in the road trip to Wyoming, and the Aggies have to play the division’s three top teams away from home.
